Stop Procrastinating And Eat A Frog First Thing In The Morning

"If you eat a frog first thing in the morning  it will be the worst thing you do all day" -

Sometimes it seems we save our hardest or most boring tasks for later.  Perhaps we can just get them done the next day...or week.  When we have tasks looming over us they add up and it makes it hard to concentrate and to be efficient while working on "smaller" tasks.  Maybe, if we all just "Eat a Frog first thing in the morning", then we can clear our minds of worry and be more successful through-out the rest of the day.

Here are some simple steps to tackle the tasks at hand and stop procrastinating.

1)  Tackle the hardest (or worse) tasks first.
Once these are checked off your to do list you will have a feeling of accomplishment.  You will have won a small victory for the day.  Now you will be able to clear your mind and move on.
2)  Break Big Projects into smaller ones.  If you are moving and need to pack up your entire home it can be very stressful.  However, If you have 10 rooms in your home, you pick one a day and concentrate on just that room, the overall task is much less daunting.  To take this idea even further you could start with just the dresser in the Master Bedroom.  Once one of these smaller tasks is compete it will seems easier to move on to the next.  The next thing you know you will have an empty home and a smile on your face.
3) Do not wait until the end of the day to self audit yourself.  If we wait until the end of the work day to start a mental checklist of what we have and have not accomplished it's too late.  Take some time around 2pm everyday and do quick audit on yourself to see what has been done and the tasks that need to be complete by the days end.  This way you will have time to rearranged your day to accommodate for the tasks you want finished.

So, make that to-do list and ALWAYS eat that frog first!
