Driftjam Flotilla Music Festival Saturday June 20th 11 am to 6 PM. Looking for something fun to do on the lake this weekend? Don't miss the 2nd annual Driftjam Flotilla Music Festival this Saturday, June 20th from 11 am to 6 pm at Spence's Island. Driftjam was founded in the Fall of 2013 based off the idea of the former Reggaefest that was started by the Pirates of Lake Murray. Last year, the event drew in nearly 600 boats and roughly 2,500 - 3,000 people. The number is expected to double this year so get there early and be sure to bring your anchors and bumpers as you'll be tying up to other boats. If you can't get there early, no problem. This year there will be a 10' x 16' floating mobile LED screen and a more amped-up sound system so those tied up in the back can still see and hear. The musical line-up this year is Jesse Moore, Bossman, Prettier Than Matt, DM Radio, Pinetop Lightning featuring DB Bryant, and Ricky Young. Although this event is intended to be family-friendly, there will most likely be adult-type drinking and partying going on, so beware if you plan to bring your kids. Come out and experience this unique floating music festival! Keep in mind Spence's Island is only accessible by boat and please remember to be safe and designate a driver. Hope to see you there!
